When Kris Burwash opened Listen Records in 2001, he knew he would be stocking his store with a lot of music from his own personal tastes. What he didn’t expect was to see a decline in CD sales and more of his regular customers migrating to his own preferred format, vinyl records.
“For years I had people telling me no one would ever buy new vinyl,” says Kris. “But I watched my CD sales drop and saw my vinyl sales surpass my CD sales around 2008. That’s when the vinyl boom started and that’s when I started catering the store to more new vinyl.”
If you like vinyl then I recommend checking this place out. They also carry a lot of more interesting groups that not many people are familiar with as well. Wish they had more jazz and metal though.
Always great selection here, and if you are looking for something in particular and they don't have it, there great about bringing it in. Love this place. A classic vinyl shop.
