Frankie's is the kind of place you want to sit for a few hours sharing a bottle of wine and some great food with your sweetie, or a couple of good friends. A warm atmosphere, made all the more romantic with a live guitar player. Wonderful. We had a great table by the window (though chilly - bring your sweater, but the fireplace table looked oh so cozy! The caesar salad was fine, we're garlic fans so wish it had had more, but the greens were well dressed. The bruschetta was good -they found the garlic! The mushroom pasta as definitely the highlight of the meal - lots of expertly prepared fungi swimming in a creamy sauce - yummy! Carbonera pasta was okay - the sauce somehow not as delicious as the mushroom pasta and I wished for more pepper. We skipped dessert, nothing was super appealing - and we were full! I made reservations and went to the restaurant at the end of May for my 18th birthday party. It looked very elegant fom the mall entrance. The ambience was very modern and cozy, though it was slightly noisy at times. Service was prompt and attentive with our orders and the manager even came and brought me a piece of chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday" written in icing on the plate. Everyone unanimously agreed that the food was great. We shared a group veggie, chips, and dip platter and I had the steak well done. It was cooked to perfection and was artfully arranged with savory garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. The cake I received was delicious, as was the sorbet a friend let me try. Overall, the evening went perfectly and the meal was easy on the wallet since none of us drank any alcohol. I would definitely come back here or to another Oliver & Bonacini managed etablishment.
